Hi!

I have problems with my Amp6-Basic. After just a couple of seconds of playing, one channel (let's call it the right channel) makes weird noises and then goes silent, but the left channel continues to work. I have reheated all solders probably five times now so I think it's something else. Could the chip be partly broken? I have a multimeter if that helps, I can also supply you with photos of my board.

Please help me.

Isn't there anyone who's up for it? Then I'll ask another question; Since only one channel is broken on my board, does this mean that something has to be wrong with a right channel specific component? I can tell which belongs to which from the schematics.

Hi, I have never built the AMP6 basic, but maybe you can receive more help by putting pics here.

If you put the pics online somewhere else you either link to them, or do this if you want to make them visible here:

(img src="httpXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.jpg") but replace ( and ) with < and >

So start with (img src=".......than the link to the photo......") but replace ( and ) with < and >

Hi!
I managed to solve the problem myself by just cleaning the board, however after having played at loud volumes for some minutes, my psu broke. I have examined the amp I noticed that the speaker connections were very loose and had probably come loose during play. Is it possible that this caused the psu to break down? I don't dare to play at loud volumes until I've sorted this out, because these psu's are pretty expensive. I opened the psu and the part that had broken was a large capacitor marked 400V and 68(mju)F, if this helps.
