They did exist for longer time, but I like to use them for battery operated gear... They are automatic fuses, in other words they reset themselves.

I have mounted them on a few of my AMP32:

If I make a battery pack I also use the wire version and place them in series with the cells....

Yes, looks useful. Thanks for the tip. There's lots of peace of mind in a fuse.
