amp32-ps in a car

Hi,

I have an extra amp32-ps not doing much now. Is it safe to power it straight from a car? I know the voltage will fluctuate, perhaps up to about 14v at a guess.

Also, to get a reasonable volume level I'm going to need some sensitive drive units. I'm thinking a pair of mid/highs and a pair of large subs with a simple low pass filter. What sort of db speakers do I need?
Can anyone recommend some drive units?
