So, I have ordered soldering supplies today from China, once they arrive, I will order the AMP6 kit and get building.

But I need a Potentiometer to control the volume.

For the first build I am not looking for a+++ grade audiophile quality stuff. Just something with good bang for bucks that fits the AMP6.

I read I should get one around 50k. But what about linear or logarithmic? it should be a dual pot too right?

Is this adequate?
Here is one from Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-POTENTIOMETERS-50K-Stereo-Volume-Control_W0QQitemZ350307268304QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH _DefaultDomain_0?hash=item518ff0b6d0)

What about these?
also from Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/10x-Dual-Potentiometer-B-50K-Stereo-Tone-Pot_W0QQitemZ310198344266QQcmdZViewItemQQptZGuitar _Accessories?hash=item4839431a4a)

Last ones I looked at:
Once more from Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/9x-50K-Audio-Potentiometer-Pot-Panel-PCB-Dual-Step-A50_W0QQitemZ120528208507QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_Def aultDomain_0?hash=item1c100a827b)

What should I get?

41Hz have a small stock of "cost-effective" Alps pots: http://41hz.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=993&catid=

I bought a few. Haven't tested, but at least they feel more solid than the cheap ALPHA pots I've bought locally.

Well that is something I overlooked... Cheaper than that other stuff. Thanks

Those pots used to be applied in pretty serious audio equipment. But they are not the greatest around...

Jan IS selling them rediculously cheap, that's for sure!

What works well is 10K to 50K and logarythmic, dual deck (stereo)

Well, I am sure they are plenty good for a first build of an AMP6.

If I was to step it up, what should I get? Not talking top of the line, best money can buy stuff, but maybe in the 10-20€ range?

What does this mean?
Potentiometer, 6mm, 10K+37K, linear, stereo

10K + 37K

it goes from 10K to 47K or what?
