View Full Version : Can I load the 5V of the Amp?

As I want to build a n active filter in front of the Amp, I thought it would be nice to drive it with that exact 5V that are responsible for the 2.5V input offset, so I eventually could skip the input Caps.
Now the Question is if the internaly generated 5V can stand the Load of, like 3-4 dual Opamps?
I don't want to simply regulate the Voltage with a 7805 or whatever, as that feels not "efficient" enough, for such a fine backend. Alternatively I'll pump up a negative 12V Rail (ok just -11V) to make a full amping, but I would prefer the 5V version.

Ok after some emailing with Jan, I now know that one can load it with something around 5mA, just in case someone else is interested.
