This is not assembled?
Not assembled.

Hello,

I just recieved my amp9-basic assembled and I donīt think this is fully assembled?
Iīm not paying 250sek extra and then have to assemble the amp myself.

So how do we fix this issue?

The input protection diodes are optional to install so in my mind it's fully assembled. Mind you I'm not an official 41hz person.

I wasnīt aware that they were optional, then I fully agree with you Saturnus.

So I can basically connect it as it is right now?
Can you tell me what they are good for? Should I install them?

Iīve been looking at the assembly instructions but canīt really make much sense of it (reason I bought assembled) , it seems like on the "map" for construction the diodes are different but the ones I got all had the same numbers on them.

They make sure the inputs can't be overloaded above 5V P-P... Not a bad idea, though some people claim it influences the sound. I doubt that as this also works for Firwire ports etc. If there would be any effect then surely a high frequency signal should suffer from it most....

Have you tried searching in this forum for "input protection diodes".
There are a number of threads discussing the pros and cons of using these.
Personally I would not run an amp without them, but then again I am older and my propensity for risk as decreased a lot from my younger years.

Scratchy, I would, if I knew the name of them :) Now that I know their name I will spend some time reading about them in the forum.

This case can be closed.
