How about sourcing a positive voltage at J10 and gnd?
download the datasheet and you'll find everything you need.
short answer: 8ohm nominal at 25V supply, about 30W at .05% THD+N
45W @ 10%
it should be in the downloadable info on the support site already--I wasn't posting new info, just being silly.
The amp is internally bridged so there is no typical "ground" on the outputs because...
That's all. I'm using it for a speaker testing amp and built it into a jig. I initially forgot to isolate the power gnd from the audio grounds and got some ugly whining from the amp but after...
i already have 5 for my army of amp 9 basics. I *still* haven't hooked up the 36V SMPS up to the Amp4 though.
HOWEVER! I did hook up an old 90W / 19V Dell laptop power supply up so I can use...
You can't--it's internally bridged. You can parallel it though.
I never got a support email about it... might be a good idea to post a topic specifically for it for anyone else that doesn't know.

Subby looks like a famous movie star:

And that pipe is a good find! Normally it's about $30 USD a foot or more.

so the schematic for C8 is correct--connects between the positive rail after the diodes and CPUMP. where does it connect currently on the 1.1 board?
sorry to ask again, but what does that mod do to the charge pump?
What email about the charge pump cap ???
the amp is rated at 4x100W so at 24V that would be 16.7A maximum but realistically you dont need that much.
You can use the 5A supply but it would be on the low end and you can't expect to drive...
50k ohms per the datasheet. range is 43-57k ohms.
With a 24VDC supply? I thought it was only rated 4x100W at 4ohm max. If I use the dual voice coils, that's two 2 ohm loads or one 1 ohm load.
or maybe I could run eight 8 ohm woofers in...
I have 3 Amp4 modules that are in various states of build. Two are built and so far neither works 100%. The third is still in its packaging and unbuilt. I've lost interest in them and built some...
I have a dream of a dual 2ohm voice coil subwoofer running off an amp9b with either 2 or 4 paralleled outputs. :)
I was curious about this too.. so here it is from the datasheet:
[u]INPUT STAGE DESIGN</u>
The TAA4100A input stage is configured as an inverting amplifier that allows the system designer...
Just completed amp9basic number two minus the missing 3.3uF caps. Truly an easy build--did it in just a few hours without rushing.
I started with the 16 diodes and then did the inductors and it...
I believe this PS has a max ripple of 240mV.
If it is too ripply, what do you suggest to filter it? a couple thousand uF cap?
Thought you amp9ers would find this useful. I know it's somewhat on the low end of the power requirements but good for maybe some active speakers. Still, at $19 (USD), you could probably run them...
if the noise goes away with only ONE input connected, it's inductive noise and can be easily fixed by trying one of two things:
1. twist all four inputs together so the "loops" are gone.
2. use a...
to sum up, you can parallel outputs to run the 2 ohm drivers just fine.
the amp 9 should be able to power 4 single 2 ohm loads with a 12V supply or 2 paralleled channels into 2 ohms with a 24V...
Just completed amp9basic and it sings. For the same reason as everyone else, I haven't had a chance to play it wide open. Too late!
Definitely easier than Amp 10 basic and Amp 4. The...
