Unfortunately, I have the same problem with my STA516B chip.
I bought eight amp11-HV for my Linkwitz Orion speaker.
The preliminary test with 24 VDC SMPS are all O.K.
But after I connect them with...
I found that the amp should be muted by default.
Once it unmute the volatge is fine.
Juit one channel is 16mV which is larger than 10mV.
I always defaltly unmute my amp, just control it by the...
Just finish amp9-basic,
All channels are OK with music.
However, only one of them with under 10mV DC offset,
others are 45mV, 86mV and 141mV !!!
I took the input diodes out off the PCB.
Still...
I plan to use external +5V for TC2001,
Where sould I connect the ground of external +5V to?
To the GND of amp11 PCB or to the AGND of amp11 PCB?
I know GND and AGND are seperated by a choke,
I...
However, use one TC2000/TC2001 with two TP2050/STA505 is a good idea.
I remember Winsome Labs' Mouse also use 1 TC2001+2 TP2050,
How about a higher current amp4 or you can say a stereo amp11!
V-bro,
I saw you use wima caps a lot,
So, what do you think?
2.2uf MKP10 v.s. 3.3uf MKP4?
Jensen copper PIO v.s. WIMA?
Any thoughts?
MKP4 3.3uf vs MKP10 2.2uf,
Use different caps for tweeter/midrange/woofer channel?
Exactly due to active crossover already sends the appropriate bandwidth to each channel, so there will be no low frequency signal going into tweeter/midrange channels, the low frequency signal will...
I can buy Wima mpk10 2.2uf or wima mkp4 3.3uf and they cost me the same...
Which is better for input caps?
I have used Jensen copper PIO in amp11,
They are very good.
However, I am building 8...
Yes...Truepath is also sutible for orion,
I don't choose them is because 4 of truepath is cost ~$400 and I have to build extra +5, +10V supply.
Also a big reason is that I can't put 4 truepath PCB...
No...
The amp11HV use STA516B chip which can provide ~95W clean power into 8ohms.
It is good and enough for subwoofer channels, and surely not over kill cause official recommand amplifer are AT6012...
Hi Pinarello,
I have built linkwitz's Pluto and very happy with them.
And I also have built several 41Hz amps.
I am now building 41Hz amps for future Orion project so I am in very the same...
Yes, but then what you measured will be response/characteristics of amp+transformer,
Am I right?
I have successfully used ARTA measured frequency response of linkwitz Pluto active cross-over.

Here is the pictures of amp32ps,

not sure they will help or not....:)
After Red-wine Audio, Winsome Labs Mouse,
Another TC2000/TP2050 Tripath amp with very good review...

If the ref is not 1.2V, I think that TC2001 is fried...
I have amp4 with Meanwell SMPS and my mouse/keyboard are also at 2.4GHz, never have any problem.
The amp and smps are in metal case.
V-bro,
I know you have several other 41hz amps in hand,
I hope you plan to do the same measurements with them too.
I really like to see the result.:D
Or amp6basic with SMPS or wallwart,
very easy to build, easier than amp6,
you can finish it within one hour:D
DIY loudspeaker projects from http://www.quarter-wave.com are quite impressive and with solid science in them.
I have bulid FE207E MLTL http://www.quarter-wave.com/Project05/Project05.html, and they...
I also plan on making a Linkwitz Orion.
8 channel AMP11-HV are amplifiers I wish to power them,
Anyone have the experience of powering Linkwitz Orion or OB with tripath amp?
I am somehow hesitate...
Also, measure the output voltage of amplifier before connect to your speaker,
If there is little DC voltage and the transient voltage is in the max range of speaker's spec.
Then most of the time,...
On Linkwitz's informative website,

In his pluto power supply design,
he put a transient/surge absorber after rectifier (SR1,digikey P7240-ND,...
