Any news??
When can I get my hands on an Amp9 :D. I wrote support some time ago, but never recieved an answer...
Oh well, it's just too bad. Maybe this means amp9 instead :D
Seeing that the gain for the amp9 is fixed at 30dB, I was wondering when the input will clip. I'm thinking about making an op-amp buffer instead of using a transformer, but I don't know how much...
Hmm, maybe that was the problem. I'm wondering if a powerful ripple in the supply could have caused it...
I connected a 13.8V UN-regulated supply to them. They normally run of a 12V battery, but apparently I was in a €50 hurry :D
Now both the ICs smell burnt and the supply pins are shorted out.
I'm an idiot.
I just destroyed two amp6's with the wrong power supply
Well, the batteries will be more than enough for 8 days, as a matter of fact, they will probably last for more than two weeks playing 24/7
Ideally you should always have fuse as close to the power...
In danish it sort of will be louder :D at least "Højere" (taller/louder)
After replacing the chip the thing worked fine. This time I connected it to a 12V SLA, not my dangerous supply. I also tried putting a cap on the rectifier, and to no surprise the voltage rose to...
It's up and running again :D
It is, maybe it was stupid to rely on my $10 meter, but it showed 14VDC :/
Thanks for all the answers
The transformer is only rated 15VAC/2,5A
I only have four diodes, no caps or anything else.
The thing blew immediately when i plugged it in, it just said...
I'm aware that the spreadsheet is confusing :D
The supply is only a transformer and a bridge.
The cryptic spreadsheet is me trying to show/illustrate the different ways I've measured the...
So I've been measuring my power supply, have a look. The places it says something like: R4-2, it means that I'm measuring between the points 4 & 2, with the red probe on point 4
...
So I connected the amp to an unregulated 14VDC supply and the chip blew out. There was a loud hum coming out the speakers, so I have feeling that one of the diodes in the bridge might be bad.
...
Thanks, it's already mounted in a speaker and I hoped that it could be bridged to increase power.

Is it possible to bridge the two channels on an Amp6-basic?
