You are better off with the nes 50 12 in this case.
As mentioned, there number of terminals has no bearing on the output power of the amp.
The nes 100 just added 2 more output terminals in parallel...
This is a single output PS. It's output is a max of 8.5A, regardless of how many output terminals it has.
They are all fed from the same source. As for feeding a preamp from the same source, that...
3-4A is more than enough for the AMP6 - 12Vx3A= 36W
This amp is only rated for 25W output at 12V, so you will have plenting of breathing room with one of these.
Did you read the stickies at the top of this AMP9 forum?

Advanced circuit diagram with assembly instructions here.
Enjoy
Seems like you are late to ball on this one Audiophool:

Well based on photo #2, it looks like you are using a breadboard for your PLLXO.
These are meant for experimentation, not a permanent solution.
I would hazard a guess that this could be the source...
130mV is not enough to damage your speaker, so the cause of your burned up speakers is still not known at this point.
However, reducing the DC offset is a good starting point.
I suggest you wire a...
Isolating the negative from the case can prevent ground loops which can destroy speakers (usually they emit a loud squeal before they go). You want to keep the AGND isolated from the PGND, so there...
Looking at the pics, it appears that the PS negative is connected to the case on the input connector.
The PCB mounting screws also appear to be connecting to the case.
This could be a problem...
Smoke at low power/volume levels sounds like DC on output (the third of only two ways to destroy a speaker).
Have you check the DC offset on the good and bad channels?
Are you using the mute/unmute...
Very nice build!
Well laid out. Clean cabling.
A good example for others to follow.
Yeah, this thing puts the GuruPlug to shame....
This Boombox has quite the kick to it:

Welcome Red LED.
I suggest you build a couple of AMP9's first if you have not had much experience soldering or assembling amps.
AMP2 and 11 is surface mount, and not for the beginner.
There's much...
I doubt that PSpice could model this chip.
I have most of the Tripath application notes saved here.
I'm out if you live in Europe...

I may be interested if you are in Canada.
V-Bro built an AMP7 for a fellow in the UK.
He had some pictures posted on skydrive.net which no longer exists, showing how he isolated the input, power and amp sections very cleanly. Probably yhr...
Sorry, but I don't subscribe to this type of black art in electronics.
Sure you can do seperate components for pre-amp and amp if you like.
But if you are building them both yourself, then you...
Have a look at this Blog:

A case like that could house all components together - Line voltage in to 2 toroid...
I think this is the key we have been missing.
What type of transformer are you using?
I've never hear of a transformer that "clicks".
Please provide a model number or picture of the transformer.
