I got information from an experienced builder that it is recommended that all channels be loaded on the amp9 but not required.
I assumed that you would have to parallel the amp7 and truepath to keep them stable. Great to know that both of these amps are 4 ohm stable when bridged.
Thanks,
Don
I would like to see a 4 ohm stable mono block based on the TA3020 chip.
Can you run the outputs on the amp15 in parallel to get a 4 ohm stable monoblock? Similar to the amp 11 but higher power and easier to build?
No way that I would be able to build this, but I am curious about the difference in sound quality between the AMP7 and the Truepath. Is there any reason to go with the Truepath?
I was doing a search on how to setup a dummy load and came across this post:
Obviously just not having an input on the unused channel would be the norm, so is this an issue or not?
Thanks,
Don
Just to confirm, I read that you cannot leave an output without a load. So if I want to use three channels of the amp9b then I need to parallel two of the channels. When using a 4 ohm speaker this...
Thanks that was the info I needed. It looks like you need to run 25Vdc to get clean output to 50 watts.
Okay, so you guys are saying it doesn't matter what voltage I supply (within specs) but that at that voltage the power supply should provide 400 watts. So if the power supply is rated at A amps at V...
This will be my first build and I am trying to figure out how I determine the amount of amps that the power supply would need to provide for the amp 9B based on looking at the specs. I know that Amps...
