Sorry missed it, thanks!
Link, pls.
Nice one! will look in to the error-input implementation.
Personally I have successfully used a simple delay-on instant-off circuit seen below.
The amp turns on and off dead silent :)
1700
They are included in my copy of the BOM:
Res Ax. Met film 0.4W 2 3.4mm 270R.
:)
Congratulations! C1819 is normally not needed for testing. Apparently your power-supply wasn't stable enough.
Enjoy your new amp :)
They are not included in the "sneaky" and not needed (since they are for the leds). Build on! :)
Apparently not....
I'm still very happy with them and my colleagues envy them :)
I actually brought them to Amsterdam during my last visit, so they've been close to their designer ;)
I agree with V-bro that the powerwires look suspicious. Try removing the fuse and see if the short i still there, if so then it's the wires.
D11 appears to be mounted the wrong way.
I couldn't agree more.
Here in Sweden we actually have a audio-company claiming that You can hear difference in USB-cables
Thanks a lot for the review! Now I only need to get my hands on one :)
Yes, a simple delay circuit with an op-amp.
Btw, thanks for the tip on cleaning-solvent for circuit boards, just love it! Have been struggling with iso-prop for years, this stuff makes it a breeze!
Needed an extra amp to use when improving on my Truepaths :)
Inspired by Tuos nice build I decided to do something similar.
Standard amp6 but used smd caps where possible and replaced input caps...
The unmute & awake jumpers appear to be missing
Nice! How's the sound?
I could be wrong, but to me it looks like D8 is mounted the wrong way around.
The annoying on/off thumps can easily be eliminated by the following mod.
As documented in previous forum posts increasing C60 eliminates the turn on thump, I successfully used 470 uF.
The turn...
I agree with v-bro! The amp15 is indeed a difficult build, in my opinion the Truepath is a lot easier. Don't be scared of smd, get a practice kit and You will soon learn how to do it :)
Thanks, it might be hard to see in the picture but the large caps are mounted lying down next to the circuit board.
Thanks. It actually sounds quite good, not like my Truepath but I'm still impressed by this little amp :)
Finished an Amp10b for a friend.
Had some problems with turn on/off thumps but increased C60 which solved the turnon thump. Had to design a voltage-sensor to get rid of the turnoff thump....
Transformers as well. Wrote "shameless copy" didn't I ;)
Have to check out the grilles.
Yepp did the filter as well. Haven't decided on grilles yet as I intend to transport them "face to face" and I like the look of them as they are :)
OK, hope V-Bro won't mind.. I needed a set of speakers for all the nights I stay at hotels. Decided to copy V-bro's design and put an amp6 in one box and a smps in the other. Thanks V-bro for...
