I'm ready to test if I get the +5v. Ready... Almost. I maked to mistakes. I need to buy a resistance and a cap (the C441, difficult to find, what are the characteristics?). I don't know if all will be ok, I hope !

Is there any scheme how to connect the transformer, a fuse, a led to the cards ? Because I am confused. Datasheets are obscures for beginners !

Oh and another mistakes. Before testing the +5V i solder another caps than the electrolytical one. Is that really bad ? Thx !

    I've forgotten :

Step 6. : How look the L4 radial inductor. I have a small thing like a CMS and i dont know how i am suppose to solder that. And it doesn't correspond with the place on the board.

    C441 0.1 uF CAP_RM2.5 = ceramics capacitor 0,1uf with legs distance of 2,5mm.

If you change place to a component, for sure it is bad

L4 is a surface mount inductor that raplaced the noisy through hole one used before: youst solder it on the L4 pads, doesn't matter what direction.

For the transformer, post a picture or a link to a datasheet.

But the legs of L4 are to short. Well i suppose i should read something about surface mount soldering... I will :-).

Here for the transformer : http://www.selectronic.fr/upload/pro...logue/9-06.pdf

    Thx !

And I will check all of the component to see if I made more than 2 detected errors This is my first bg soldering project. My solder iron wasn't really good, i don't espect the greatest sound that the amp5 can do but still better than the soundcard of my macbook !

Well what am I suppose to do ? I can't find this 2 capacitor : C441 and C155. Some profesionnals shops sell it but i'm not a professional...

    EDIT :

    I am an idiot ! 0,1uF are 100nF. Much easier :

is it ok for the C441?

RED to AC1, GREY to AC2

YELLOW and BLUE, TWISTED TOGETHER, both in the first PGND near to AC2.

Remember that with these amps, either don't work or you have excellent sound: no mid ways

thank you, and for C441 ?

almost last question : where can I connect the fuse ? (and a led ?)

For C441 go for 100nF here:

    http://www.conrad.fr/webapp/wcs/stor...egory_rn=18986

For the led here is a schematic and a calculator for the led resistor:

    http://www.google.it/search?hl=it&q=...nG=Cerca&meta=

A good place where to connect a led is on C63 (doesn't matter if there is a cap or not). So calculate a RES for 30-32V

A fuse must be connected with a fuse-holder on the live main, before the transformer. Take a look in the photo gallery to see how people arrange chassis connections.

    Hi !

Hmmm... I Have a problem with the L4 inductor on my amp5. How can I solder that ? I've never mounted a surface moutn component. Can I do it with my actual material ? Can i use an alternative component ? Thx !
