    Default Truepath Parts

This is my first electronics kit and I have been having a good time making use of my new soldering iron but I have run into a snag. I can't find a list anywhere that shows me what components are in what bag.

I was able to use my older fluke multimeter and the markings to install all of the resistors seemingly without any trouble (I guess I will know for sure when I apply power). But, I am having trouble figuring out some of the other components and I want to make sure I have it right.

There are 4 three legged smd parts in bag 10 which I would guess are q302 q304 q305 and q303. I'm also guessing that the two components together in one strip are q302 and q304. But how do I tell the two singles q303 and q305 apart?

Also my old fluke multimeter only reads microfarads and I am unable to determine the values of the capacitors in bags 7 and 8. Each bag has a single and a double in it and I think they correspond to c207, c101 and c201, c103 and c203, and c107. Anyone remember what values are in which bag?

    Thanks,

    Andy

    Andy,

You need to go to the support site http://www.support.41hz.com/ and log in. Then go to downloads and get: "Truepath BOM and schematics". The BOM tells you which part is in which bag.

Be careful to follow good ESD hygiene with the tripath chip.

    Regards,

    Tim

    Tim,

I think there must be something that has changed in the BOM (or I am being dense). In the long BOM all of the bag numbers are "0" and the short BOM doesn't show bag numbers. Am I completely missing something? Is there an older version with the bag #'s in it?

Thanks Thomas. That makes more sense. I couldn't figure out how to get it done.

    Thomas,

    Got your email. Thanks again.

I also got a response from Jan that the file in the download section has been updated.

So one more question I have is how do you tell the two transistors q303 and q305 from each other. They are both in bag 10 as singles. One transistor has 12a printed on it and the other has 702p on it. Any hints?

When you have the board with input section towards you there are three SOT23 on top and one under them on the right. The 702P goes on top right, the 2A goes under it. The two with 1A text on them go left of the 702P...

I'll try to draw something up, although Thomaseliot is the king at drawings...
