Do any of the kits work for me?

I have kind of a problem since I need an mono amp for my project and my supply voltage has been limited to 12V. This project must have an option to run it out of battery supply and I don't want to add another smps to that small enclosure of mine.

So my question mainly is can I run some of these nice little amps as mono? For example AMP3 (which is most interesting one for me) can it be run with other channel disconnected while other channel is connected to speaker? If I understood right, from the forum posts, the AMP11 cannot be driven from such a low voltage as 12V.

Indeed AMP11 is no option.

AMP3 can be run on one channel as long as the input is shorted and the output is loaded on the other channel with some kind of resistor. Almost anything will do, but I wouldn't go above 1Kohm or lower than 10 ohms....

------X-max. can be several meters on any driver, too bad it can be done only once...------

Thanks for a quick answer. I think I am gonna put in an order for AMP3 kit for my project then.

With stereo amp there is this nice option to extend my project to stereo system later on, but for now my workbench radio must survive with only one channel :P
