    Default AMP1-B BOM help

    hi, does anybody can help me in order to identify some parts in to the bag of

    AMP1-B kit. See list below.
    Thanks in advance -Rafael-

    --- CAPS ---

    -> not identified in BAGs:
    BOM 1x C47 390pF;50V (SMT 0805)
    BOM 1x C46 330pF;50V (SMT 0805)

    -> unknown uF value:
    BAG_3 strip of 4 caps (SMT 0805)
    BAG_3 strip of 3 caps (SMT 0805)
    BAG_3 strip of 1 caps (SMT 0805)
    BAG_1 strip of 1 caps (SMT 0805)
    BAG_5 strip of 2 ¿caps?, little bigger than above, maybe are that C44 & C45 (SMT 1206)?

    --- DIODES ---

    -> not found in BAGs:
    BOM 1x D1 B1100/B SMA
    BOM 1x D4 1N5243 or 55C13 Zener 13V, 500mW, DO-35
    BOM 1x D6 LED (Open)

    --- INDUCTOR ---

    -> not found in BAGs:
    BOM 1x L4 100uH What of inductors below is that one?

    -> unknown part:
    NO_BAG radial vertical ferrite inductor
    BAG_2 "101 2M" unknown little inductor

    --- RESISTOR ---

    -> not found in BAGs:
    BOM 4x R32,R43,R44,R51 20KO, 1% (SMT 0805) [these are Rin & Rfeedback]
    BOM 5x R2,R10,R12,R14,R15 49.9KO (SMT 0805)

    -> what are these for?:
    BAG_4 strip of 4x 22KO (SMT 0805), are these 1% Rin & Rfeedback adjust?
    BAG_4 strip of 4x 47KO (SMT 0805), are these 1% Rin & Rfeedback adjust?
    BAG_4 strip of 2x 5.1KO (SMT 0805)
    BAG_4 strip of 2x 270O (SMT 0805)
    BAG_2 2x 50Kohm PCB pot

    Others have posted these same questions here:
    http://41hz.com/Forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2203
    http://41hz.com/Forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2385
    http://41hz.com/Forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2334

    Basically the components in each bag are arranged in such a way that they can be identified solely by the number of pieces in the bag (according to the label on each bag).
    Resistors have black numbered values, capacitors are brown/tan with no numbers on them.
    You must leave the components in each bag until you are ready to solder them onto the PCB.
    If you have removed them all from the bags, then you will need a meter to identify the capacitors where there are the same number on each tape. You can always identify the resistors using a good magnifying lens or Loupe.

    In this link I posted a pic of the PCB bottom component layout with the actual values listed.
    http://41hz.com/Forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2354

    The light green is for resistors.
    The brown/tan/orange is for different value capacitors.
    This makes it much easier to build.

    Hi,

    Assembly instructions doesn't talk about bags distribution, fortunately I have not untidy the bags. I've seen the threads Scratchy mentioned, thanks. I see that some caps are not needed (4 & 3 caps strips along with 10x 0.1uF50V etc on bag_3 ), also some variations for Rin & Rfb are supplied, ok. Most doubts are clear now... but:

    1.- i've neither not received R2,R10,R12,R14,R15 49.9K (!)

    2.- diodes matter are not clear, for me (!) :-(

    --> [eb-ta2022.pdf] says:
    D1,D8,D9 B1100/B
    D5,D11,D12,D13 MURS120T3

    --> [ai_amp1-b.pdf] says:
    D1 B1100/B SMA
    D5,D11,D12,D13,D8,D9 MURS120T3 SMB

    --> in [amp1b_004.jpg] (AMP1-B bottom view) we can see:
    D5,D11,D12,D13 are "big" surface mount diodes
    D1, D8, D9 are "small" surface mount diodes

    --> Scratchy PCB bottom component layout
    D5,D11,D12,D13,D8,D9 are SMB labeled
    D1 are SMA labeled

    --&gt; [u]BUT supplied parts are:</u>
    strip of 7 "big" surface mount diodes labeled '419U1B'

    so, can i use these for all D5,D11,D12,D13,D8,D9 & D1 ?

    - thanks -

    &gt;&gt;&gt;As per Mikechw's post - he had to buy 51K resistors himself to replace these missing ones&lt;&lt;&lt;

    --&gt; [u]BUT supplied parts are:</u>
    strip of 7 "big" surface mount diodes labeled '419U1B'
    &gt;&gt;&gt;This explains the numbers you see on the diodes - http://www.onsemi.com/pub_link/Colla...URS120T3-D.PDF &lt;&lt;&lt;

    so, can i use these for all D5,D11,D12,D13,D8,D9 & D1 ?

    - thanks -

    I can only say, those are the parts I received in my kits.
    (as marked on the layout diagram)
    It seems others have also had missing pieces in the AMP1-B kits.
    I suggest you contact Jan (41hz support) for the missing/incorrect pieces.

    Thanks again. I appreciate your help so much. I can see that supplied diodes are fast 35ns/100V, this exceeds the minimun 50ns/90V in TA2022 datasheet, seems to be ok. What a pity no explanation found in the supplied kit.

    I think i can start the amp assembly !

    So, now i wait for Jan's response about missing 49.9K resistors.

    If I remember correctly,
    In my Amp11 kit, I got some resistors that were different from the BOM -- precisely the feedback loop / gain resistors. It was a few months ago, but I think I also got 47K instead of 49.9K. It was something like that.

    I haven't built an Amp1-B, so the part lists are not clear to me - may I ask how many resistor positions are missing once you've determined your feedback loop values and chosen resistors for that?

    It's ok. I have already received the missing pieces from 41Hz. I hope to finish the amp assembly asap.

    well, i've finished my two amp1-b kits, oooops , i've never imagine how hard is to solder the smt pieces !!!
    I'd like to upload some photos in the gallery, but no way :-(
