Shoes, which runs Helperdeck, for Windows: http://cloud.github.com/downloads/sh...es-0.r1134.exe
    ... and Mac: http://cloud.github.com/downloads/sh...oes/shoes2.dmg

Same drill as usual: Download Win or Mac app, plus the Helperdeck ZIPfile from Github. Unzip and open 'helperdeck.rb'. Easy - takes 2 minutes.
I thought I would check this out, but had a little trouble finding shoes -- the links krilli give are for windows or mac, but I'm on linux. Eventually, I found it at http://shoes.heroku.com/. The instructions are the same though for linux. I like the idea of helperdesk, and I checked out the amp4 version, I think it could be really useful.

Hey, a Linux user! Nice ... (I use only Linux at work.)

Which distro are you using? And have you encountered any technical snags yet?

    Hi krilli,
I've been using linux for a long time now. Right now I use ubuntu/kubuntu at home, with crunchbang on my eeepc. Just to keep this relevant to 41hz, I have a ubuntu server which stores (among other things) my music. This is shared to my eeepc (via wifi and mounted as nfs), from there I use a gamma 1 dac (http://www.amb.org/audio/gamma1/) to my amp32 running from a 12v sla battery. It works well.

No updates for a while now - sorry about that. I'm moving house plus there's a crunch period at my dayjob :/

I was already missing your always enthusiastic presence here on the forum for a bit....

I know hwat you feel like, I have been on the rocking chair myself recently, but I was lucky I could be transferred to another dept. in our company.

    Project isn't dead! Promise.

I'm still very busy w. this crunch time at work ... It's going pretty great there though.

Linux requests: Noted! I actually spend 10+ hours a day in front of a Linux workstation myself. Thanks for posting the Heroku link, rjad.

No problem, it was just to inform you that there are some Linux users around here ;-)

    Hi gang,

I finally made some time to work on Helperdeck. I've consolidated all the small bags into a big window and now the app is much easier to use. I will work on window clutter some more, but we're definitely at a usable stage!

    Here's the Helperdeck download: http://github.com/AnthonBerg/helperdeck/zipball/beta3.0

To run Helperdeck, you need the Shoes toolkit. Here are the Shoes downloadables for Mac, Windows and Linux: http://shoes.heroku.com/downloads

Next up is to add the Amp6-BASIC datapack, which is nearly ready but disabled in this beta. Then the Amp9-BASIC is probably next and other amps. Then after we've arrived at a useful number of buildable amps, I'll work on the interface. The goal of the interface work will be to suit your wishes and make the app usable and powerful for everyone!

Here's a screenshot of an Amp4 build in Helperdeck beta3.0:

    (This version includes Amp4, Amp32 and Amp15-PS.)
