    Hello,
    I would like to buy a 50W iron, but have limited budget of 50EUR
    I found two alternatives I think anout and would like to know a oppinion from someone experienced... can you please recommend me any of these?

    I couldn't see the first one, the link just took me to the store catalog.

    Iron #2 looks MUCH nicer than the one I have. Looks like a good price. It looks like it has different tip sizes, which is always good. This is the one I have, and works OK: http://elexp.com/sdr_ss5u.htm ... the one you linked to looks much better.

    OK here I can see its obvious you dont need to have a superb equipment to make a good job may be the same Iron would be egnouth for me as well

    Yeah, the Velleman is OK really. Just be careful, sometimes the tip is small enough to do all the diodes and everything, but in some of their cheap irons, the tip is really fat and very hard to use :/ But if you get a nice small tip they definitely work!

    so it works as well for you with the SMD parts?
