Default how to tell polarity of c100(cap 50V elec) no square or any other mark on pcb

    AMP7

    C100 + C200 Input DC blocking Capacitator.

I cant figure out how to tell the polarity of c100 or c200 for that matter, I cant find a mark on the pcb.

    Am i missing something?

I don't know what the Amp7 PCB looks like, but the negative side is connected to the board inputs, and the positive side is connected to the chip inputs.

If you are using film caps, then the polarity doesn't actually matter.

    Hi again

no film caps, its an electrolytic cap.

its dangerous for me to rely on luck. luck is half skill, and i havent got that(yet).

Its like Krilli writes. The chip is biased to +2.5V so the positive cap side goes toward the chip, the negative to the outside / connector pin. Actually, these 50V e-caps can withstand quite a lot of negative voltage. I know others have had VN10 caps reversed for years witout problems. But I would not recommend turning them around.....
