There is now a high power version of the AMP15, the AMP15-PS-XP.

The AMP15-PS-XP is suitable for 4 and 8 ohm loads and delivers 2X300W and more into 4 ohms. As with the previous AMP15-PS, the new version delivers very clean, low distortion sound, typically measures below 0.008%THD+N or less at 8 ohm / 10W / 1kHz. And THD+N remains very low over the full 20Hz-20kHz range.

AMP15-PS-XP has all book-keeping power on the board, recifiers and large 27.000uF bulk capacitors are on the amplifier board. No additional board is required.You need to add a transformer which would typically be 2X42V maximum for maximum output power.

As usual with all models, we have picked the best possible components available, without getting "exotic" in terms of cost. For example low noise resistors, very long life low ESR capacitors throughout. The main difference between the AMP15-PS and the AMP15-PS-XP is that the later has power mosfets with 30 amp plus rating, more than 3X higher than the previous model.

The best possible available MOSFETs for lowest THD+N are used for the output section and shows as excellent measured data, clean sound. Another sign of the design efficiency is that the AMP15-PS-XP was tested at 50Wrms continously without any heat sinking of the transistors at all, and their temperature still stayed at below 50C!
