Default According to the "Used Abbreviations" sticky regarding power requirements...

... a pair of AMP11-HV's could use this supply:

    http://www.profusionplc.com/pro/gex/...o=ALP0200-NU48

    It has a 390w peak.

    My calcs:
    2x200w x80% = 320 + 15% for amp losses = 368w needed.

Would this work just fine or is the 368W an absolute min for a decent amp and (a lot)more would be better? In real life would I notice a difference between it and the 900w peak supply?

This would be nice and compact in a HIFI2000 80x124x170 enclosure.

I think it will be just, about right enough, for music (average) on full throttle.
(this is the normal case, it will NOT take a continuous 1kHz sinus at rated Pmax=300Wrms, who would need to? And not sure if the power-stage STA517B can take that..)
    So, all ok.

And I notice that Profusion now only carries 3 Alps power-supplies?
    Maybe they didn't sell well....

They are waiting on the others. The larger unit won't be in until 1st quarter of next year.
