Hi, is there anyone who is interested in making prototype of the TDA 1400(Single Channel) for evaluation? I am looking for people who can help make PCBs, testing, evalute, etc.... I can supplie the chips. Thank you.

hi! i am new to electronics. so i probably won't be able to help you in building one myself but i am interested in building one slowly through learning little at a time.
could you please tell me how and where you obtained the TDA1400 chip in single units please? or will you be able to provide me with one of these chips?
thank you, look forward to your reply.

Hi,
There are two reasons I have not made any board for the TDA1400, apart from that I have my hands full with the other amps.
- One is the tiny footprint of the chip, with very close lead spacing.
- The other is the N/P complementary FET design. While this simplifies the circuit and makes it a bit cheaper, the technical specs of P-channel FETs are generally lower than for N-channel fets. I may be wrong, but suspect the N/P solutions will not have as good THD+N data as the N-only. However, for dedicated woofer amps it may still be a good solution.
