Hi all,
Just something to take into account; Now most, if is not all, SMD components are Rohs compliant, this means the solder temperature has to be higher than the good hold leaded solder, also you can use leaded based solder for the components, it is not recommended for a proper job. Ideally you should get the correct type of solder, and a quality temperature controlled iron, unfortunately this is the cost of progress and saving the planet (or not).
Question for Jan: are your PCBs Rohs compliant and is the plating too?
Thank you for the hard work and excellent value kits
Georges
