    Default copper layer shorts

I assembled my entire amp3 kit before looking over the PCB. There were some pretty bad copper splotches from the PCB process that shorted the input VCC/gnd, had to desolder a lot before I could wedge in a razor to fix the problem. (can post pictures if people are interested in seeing it.)

so check the PCB -first- for coppper splotches BEFORE you solder on parts.

also, perhaps a higher quality PCB manufacturer would be a good idea? or paying the extra $ for PCB test? I know i will be from now on for my kits...that was really annoying!

otherwise, works great! looking forward to getting more of these

    Hi,

Please send me some pics so I can complain. The boards should be 100% short tested at manufacturing and my experience with this manufacturer has been very good. They must have had a bad day. Which the testing should have revealed.....
