The speakers plays very low

Hello,

So I've finished the AMP6-Basic 1.2, and I tested it with one speaker connected (not fitted in a box) and the speaker plays very low. If i turn the volume up, the LED starts blinking, and the speakers start making this clicking sound.

Is it because the speaker is not fitted in the box yet?

Have to be finished by tomorrow, cuz then we are going to Roskilde (long drive) so a quick reply would be nice.

I think you'll need to connect the second speaker to have a load on both outputs or you might destroy the chip.

Yeah, okay. I'll try that tomorrow.Having some problem with the second channel, but I know what the problem is (L1 pin 1+2 wasnt soldered good enough). Thanks for the reply.

The clicking means that the amp is going into protection mode because of overload, combined with low volume points to a solder bridge, clean the board thoroughly, reflow the solder joints if you can.
Having the second speaker attached isn't going to make a difference in this case, but attaching would tell you if one or both channels are affected.
