    Default Truepath revived

A successful build of the Truepath is very satisfying but it is a distant second to resurrecting a fried Truepath! Yes, I mean fried in the literal sense. My first TP was destroyed by a moment of carlessness and I totalled the 2 right channel MOSFETs and the TA3020 which literally burst into flames. I replaced the MOSFETs some time ago and managed to unsolder the TA3020 but unfortunately did not take any photos before discarding it - it was that impressive! The new TA went into a socket just in case and the only other repair was one of the tracks at the MOSFETs which was replaced by copper wire.

Lacking a large enough tranny I scavenged one off the working TP and voila it all works fine! YES! Not really sure what I'm going to do with this TP - maybe a bi-amp?

Cheers! This is what I meant so many times when I advised people to put it aside and just build a new kit. It is far harder to repair one than to build one from scratch. Or at least it takes much more time and skills. The latter will come from building a new one...

The numerous amps I had given up on that I managed to repair later on to prove the theory.... Just put it in the drawer and start over, much more fun, much more chance of success....
