    Default assembled AMP 4 pics

    Hi everybody

I completed the assembly yesterday and I thought it might be of interest to post some pics :

Soldering of the Tripath chip is definitely NOT for the faint hearted [:0]

I'm about to compare a classic 120VA 2 x 21Volts (secondaries wired in parallel) power transformer against a 26volts 100watt switching power supply (SMPS).,I'll let you know what's best.

    Hi Mr T,

In the third photo, it looks like pins 19 and 20 of the TK2050 are soldered together, according to the schematic and the PC board layout, these are separate. Pins 19 & 1 together go to ground. Pin 20 to C30 then to pins 21&22.

Yeah, soldering the chip is NOT for the everyone. BTW, GREAT pics!

    Hope this might help.

    Mr T

Your photos are really good - is this the way you check to see if your soldering these very small parts is OK. If so, what are your camera settings for something like this?

Ah ah, this is my little secret

Well, no actually there's no secret and it's very simple : I put the board onto my flatbed scanner and I set the resolution to 1200dpi, and voila !
