    Default PSU parts

    Hello,
I just looked for the PSU parts for AMP1.
Now I have some questions related to some parts, which I haven't found really in my favorite online shops and I would be very happy if you could help me .

    Diode bridge 200V 16A:
I've only found a bridge with 250V 25A from Diotec. Is that ok or should I use single diodes which are a little more expensive?

    C3,C4 0,1uF:
What kind of capacitor should I use here, is a ceramic with 50-100V and 10% (2,5mm) ok?

    The Fuse:
Is there any known value for this fuse? The transformer I've found is a 330VA (22V), so what kind of fuse would be ok?

    Thanks,
    Tom

    Hi,

A 25A bridge is perfectly OK. High current and voltage ratings give you an extra margin. There are pros and cons using a bridge or discrete diodes. Bridge diodes should be well matched while discretes may have better ratings.

C3 and C4 (I assume from the PSU drawing on this web site)
    could be 50V 10%. 100V also OK

Fuse depends a bit on your transformer and capacitors. If the fuse is on the mains side and you have a 230V mains, a 1.5A fuse would probably be right. WIth a 120V , use 3A.

Basicaly, the fuse should be as small as possible, without blowing when you power up the system or when the amp is at maximum power.
